Cole Stoudt threw for 209 yards and a touchdown, Ammon Lakip had three field goals and No. 21 Clemson won its fifth straight with a 16-6 victory over Syracuse on Saturday night.

Auburn Safety Reinstated For USC Game

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn says safety Jermaine Whitehead has been reinstated to the team. Malzahn said Monday that Whitehead has returned to practice after a four-game suspension for unspecified violations. The fifth-ranked Tigers play South Carolina on Saturday night.

D'Angelo Finalist For National Award

South Carolina senior goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award for women’s soccer, presented to student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. Candidates are choses based on their dedication and achievement in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.

Clemson Sets Future Notre Dame Games

Clemson will play Notre Dame four times between the 2015 and 2023 seasons, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Tuesday. The league announced games Notre Dame will play against all ACC opponents until 2025.

Big Debut For Bryant On Monday Night Football

Former Clemson standout Martavis Bryant made his NFL debut in a big way on Monday Night Football. The Steelers rookie wide receiver made his first career NFL catch a 35-yard touchdown that sparked Pittsburgh to a 30-23 win over Houston. Texans rookie linebacker Jadeveon Clowney did not play in the game. The former Gamecock came into Monday Night questionable. Clowney is still recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery after tearing his meniscus six weeks ago. Another former Clemson receiver, Houston's Deandre Hopkins led all players with 108 receiving yards but had a critical fumble for the Texans late in the game.

Clemson Defense Ranked 5th In Nation

Clemson's defense is grabbing the headlines for the 21st-ranked Tigers, and not for the points it allows in the team's biggest games. The group has given up just 30 points in the past three games for Clemson (5-2, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) and made game-saving stops the last two weeks to beat Louisville and Boston College.

Martin Gets First Career PGA Tour Win

Former Clemson All-American Ben Martin sank a 46-foot eagle putt on the par five 16th hole on Sunday and went on to win the Shriner’s Hospital For Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Clemson RB Choice Out For Season

Dabo Swinney said Sunday leading rusher Adam Choice will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL on a first quarter run against Boston College Saturday. The freshman from Thomasville, GA had 50 carries for 218 rushing yards and one touchdown on the season.

Watkins Helps Bills Win, Spiller Hurt

Former Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins caught a 2-yard touchdown with 1 second left to help Buffalo beat Minnesota Sunday 17-16. The rookie first round draft pick had 9 catches, 122 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on the game. Former Clemson running back C.J. Spiller was carted off the field in tears after injuring his left shoulder. He reportedly broke his collarbone and will miss the rest of the season.

Branch Injured In Jaguars' First Win

Former Clemson standout defensive end Andre Branch injured his groin Sunday in the fourth quarter of Jacksonville's first win of the season, 24-6 over Cleveland. Branch left the game and did not return. After the game he left the locker room on crutches. No more details on the injury were available Sunday night.

Proveaux Finishes 3rd At U.S. Collegiate

Cody Proveaux shot a three-under-par 69, his eighth under-par round of the fall, and finished third individually to lead Clemson to a 10th place team finish at the U.S. Collegiate at the Golf Club of Georgia on Sunday. The Tigers improved from 14th to 10th with a 284 team score on Sunday, as three Tigers posted under par rounds.

Humphries Earns ACC Weekly Honor

Clemson senior punter returner Adam Humphries is the ACC specialist of the week. Humphries had eight punt returns for 107 yards, including a 72-yard return for a touchdown in the Tigers’ 23-17 win over visiting Louisville.

Tigers Say Offense Won't Change With Stoudt

Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris said the 24th-ranked Tigers won't dial things back with stellar freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson out for the next month. Morris expects backup Cole Stoudt to lead the same fast-paced attack fans have always seen when Clemson (4-2, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) travels to Boston College (4-2, 1-1) this weekend.

Swinney:Watson To Miss Four Weeks

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said Sunday that freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson will have four screws put in his finger to heal a small broken bone and will need a month of recovery before returning for the 24th-ranked Tigers. Swinney said Watson would have the procedure Monday. The first-year starter hurt the finger on his right, throwing hand in the second quarter of a 23-17 victory over Louisville on Saturday. The win returned Clemson (4-2, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) to the national rankings.
