Spurrier On Mauk Shot:No Big Deal

"I thought one of my own guys had hit me," Spurrier said. Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk bumped into the Ball Coach. Mauk caught flak from a lot of Gamecock fans on social media for the shot. He reached out via text to USC quarterback Dylan Thompson to make sure Spurrier knew the contact was unintentional. Mauk said he didn't even know it was Spurrier who he bumped into. USC Women Win Annika Intercollegiate

Led by senior Justine Dreher’s individual win, South Carolina captured the inaugural ANNIKA Intercollegiate title by seven strokes at the Reunion Resort’s Watson Course on Tuesday. In their first tournament of the season, the Gamecocks fired a 10-under 854 at the three-day event with Dreher finishing the tournament at 9-under. Read More »

Kentucky Suspends Four For USC Game

Kentucky has suspended four freshmen for Saturday night's SEC game against South Carolina for their involvement with air pistol shots being fired near a residence hall on campus. No one was injured Sunday night, but police issued an alert advising people to stay indoors on the Lexington campus as they investigated. Read More »

Gamecocks Drop Out Of Top 25 Polls

For the first time in the last 70 polls, the Gamecocks are not ranked in the top 25. After Saturday's 21-20 home loss to Missouri dropped its record to 3-2 on the season, South Carolina failed to make both the new coaches and Associated Press rankings.
