Angels Send Michael Roth Back To Minors

(WOLO) -- A second former Gamecock has now had a cup of coffee in the major leagues.

Tuesday the Los Angeles Angels sent Michael Roth down to the AA Arkansas Travelers. Roth gave up three runs in one inning late Monday in the Angels' marathon 19-inning 10-8 loss at Oakland.

Roth got the win in his major league debut April 13th. Overall, the southpaw who led the Gamecocks to three straight national championship series threw 9.2 innings with the Angels. He gave up 14 hits, 10 runs, walked three and struck out 10 with a 9.31 ERA and a 1-1 record.
