D.J. Swearinger Profile

By Kyle Dauberman

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- D.J. Swearinger is known for his big hits for South Carolina and this season hasn't really been any different for the senior defensive back. Here is a quick look at the senior heading to the Senior Bowl on January 26th in Mobile Alabama.

The senior DB ended the season with 79 total tackles (62 solo tackles), two interceptions and 2 forced fumbles.

The Greenwood native had two stand out plays this season. The first during the Arkansas game, after getting called for a penalty Swearinger intercepted a pass and took it 69 yards for the score. The second play was the big hit he had against Clemson's Andre Ellington.
