COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- After speaking with USC head football coach Steve Spurrier on Tuesday, basketball coach Frank Martin says Bruce Ellington will continue practicing with the hoops team while football is out of practice.

"I'm pretty sure Bruce is going to travel with us," said Maritn. "Whether he'll play or not, I don't know."

Martin said once bowl preparations begin, Ellington will be back on the gridiron.

"He will be back in football every single day," said Martin. "They've got one more huge game to play. My concern the whole time was I didn't want attention placed on what sport he's playing, when he's coming, I wanted him to be a football player because that's what that team deserved."

Ellington caught two touchdown passes in USC's 27-17 win over rival Clemson last Saturday night. Through the regular season, Ellington had 38 receptions for 564 yards and six touchdowns.
