Spurrier Calls Out Swinney Again

By Sports Department

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WOLO) -- After his annual preseason media golf outing Wednesday, Steve Spurrier continued calling out Clemson coach Dabo Swinney.

When asked if Jadeveon Clowney is the best player he has ever coached, Spurrier eventually said Clowney wants to win an SEC championship. He went on to add, "We know we're capable. We don't quite talk about it quite as much as Dabo does. Dabo, he's already got national championship on the board. But, we're not talking about it quite like that."

Spurrier also said he is looking into possibly putting quarterbacks Connor Shaw and Dylan Thompson in the shotgun formation at the same time.

Yes, coach Spurrier, Dabo Swinney can put national championship on the board. I suppose you are talking about the Clemson score board which does say National Champs. We earned that right back in 1981 something South Carolina...the little USC has never been able to accomplish.
