(WOLO) LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C., --
Lexington County sheriff's are investigating a deadly weekend accident involved a car and a train.
According to authorities, 37 year old Robin Neal Quarles was killed after the truck he was driving was hit by an oncoming train around 2 Sunday morning, near Two Notch and Smith Pond Roads.
Sheriff's have not released any information concerning why Quarles car was on the tracks as the Norfolk & Southern train approached.
Authorities say Quarles died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
