(WOLO) -- The toughest weekend of the 2013 college football season in the state of South Carolina wraps up with a big drop in the polls for both USC and Clemson.
The Gamecocks dropped to #20 in the Associated Press and Coaches' poll after losing 23-21 at Tennessee Saturday. USC (5-2, 3-2 SEC) fell nine spots in the AP and 11 in the Coaches' poll. The Gamecocks play at Missouri (7-0, 2-0 SEC) this Saturday at 7 p.m. The Tigers shot up the polls this week after a convincing win over Florida gave them a two-game lead in the SEC East division standings. Missouri is #5 in the AP poll, 7th in the Coaches' poll.
Clemson (6-1, 3-1 ACC) fell six spots in both polls after losing 51-14 to Florida St. Saturday night. The Tigers are #9 in the AP poll, 10th in the Coaches' poll. Clemson plays at Maryland (5-2) this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
