To whom it may concern,
My name is Pamela Larson, and I am Fort Jackson's 2013 Military Spouse of the Year. In addition to the title, I have just been named one of the top 18 military spouses who is up for the title of overall Military Spouse of the Year for all military branches, and I am one of three frontrunners for the title of Army Spouse of the Year. I have come out on top of thousands of amazing military spouses to be one of the frontrunners for all of these titles, and the final round of voting will be held on March 5, 2013. Anyone may vote, and I am hoping to count on my local news stations to help me gain support within my hometown community.
As well as representing all of Fort Jackson for the title of Army and Military Spouse of the Year, some may recognize me as the spouse of Fort Jackson's missing soldier from this past October. Our struggles with the military have made me fight ten times harder to maintain my marriage and my sanity. Our story has touched so many lives, that I have now been asked to team up with a national non-profit organization, Battling BARE, to help gain awareness toward the struggles and hardships that PTSD has on the entire military family.
Today I ask that you please consider running a story on my run for the title of 2013's Military Spouse of the Year, so that I may count on my local community's support while I represent our area as well as the entire military community in this next chapter of my story.
Thank you for your consideration,
Pamela Larson
