Killer of teacher trying to eliminate “problem”

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) – A South Carolina criminal profiler says the person who killed an Aiken teacher in her home two years ago probably knew her habits well.

State Law Enforcement Division Lt. Michael Prodan said Wednesday that he thinks Anne Fox posed some kind of problem to her killer, who decided her  death was the only way to solve it. He called the killer methodical.

Prodan says the killer could likely kill again if he felt threatened. Investigators released the profile in hopes someone with information will spot the danger and  come forward.

Fox was found dead in her home in April 2008. Authorities say she was stabbed to death, and there were no sign anyone broke into the house.
