New Chick in Town
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – There’s a new chick at the Riverbanks Zoo.
Thursday, the zoo announced the birth of a Gentoo penguin, bringing the number to nine.
The birth is the first for a Gentoo Penguin at the zoo. Zoo officials say they are excited about the new addition.
The chick has not been named yet.
If you would like to have a hand in the naming, the rights will be auctioned off at the Riverbanks Zoofari on October 2nd.
