Former USC President to Ohio State

Former University of South Carolina President Andrew Sorensen is moving to Ohio State University to

become the school’s chief fundraiser.

Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee says Sorensen will find new ways to secure a strong financial foundation for the school.  Sorensen says he’s known Gee for years.

Sorensen retired as USC president in 2008 and was on the faculty in the medical school.

Sorensen will start his new job Oct. 5.
