Missing Teen’s Birthday This Week
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) – The Rochester, NY teen who disappeared April 26, 2009 from Myrtle Beach, turned 19 Thursday.
Brittanee Drexel was 17-years-old when she visited Myrtle Beach and vanished.
She was last seen on surveillance video leaving the Blue Water Resort on Ocean Boulevard.
Brittanee Drexel’s mother, Dawn, doesn’t want people to forget that Brittanee is still missing.
“You know these people who have done this to Brittanee need to come forward. You know, they need to think that what if that was their family member -they would want the same thing. But then again you’re dealing with a criminal so who knows,” says Drexel.
Law enforcement and Coastal Carolina University scientists using sonar equipment conducted searches for Brittanee as late as this week.
However, nothing turned up during this week’s efforts.
