E.W. Cromartie Sentenced
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Former Columbia City Councilman E.W. Cromartie was sentenced Friday morning to one year and one day in prison after admitting to tax fraud.
The former councilman will also serve three years of supervision and will have to pay $58,000 in back taxes.
Cromartie pleaded guilty in April to two counts of income tax evasion and two counts of aggravated structuring.
Cromartie served on the Columbia City Council for more than 25 years.
