Arrest Made in Holly Hill Murder

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Of the four violent deaths that took place in Orangeburg last weekend, two people have now been arrested.

The latest arrest is a man who was out on bond from previous violent offenses earlier this summer. The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says a judge gave 24 year old Jayvon Davis a $62,500 bond on previous arrests including drugs and armed robbery.

Davis was out on bond this past Saturday night when he’s accused of killing 33 year old James Robinson. Investigators say Davis and another man opened fire inside a home on Big Oak Drive Saturday in Holly Hill, shooting and killing Robinson, and injuring Robinson’s nephew and his cousin.

Investigators have not released a motive in the killing, nor have they said whether the victims knew their attackers. The Sheriff’s Office says they have identified another “person of interest” in Robinson’s murder, but they are not yet releasing his name.
