Graham: Health overhaul needs restrictions
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham says a rewrite of the nation’s new health care law should contain popular consumer protections.
Graham said Friday his proposal to repeal and replace the legislation would bar insurers from refusing to write policies for people with existing medical conditions and a ban on lifetime coverage limits. He also says parents should be able to continue coverage of their adult children until they turn 26.
Graham held a news conference Friday to launch a what he calls a “Citizens Prescription to Repeal and Replace Obamacare.”
The federal legislation backed by President Barack Obama is facing challenges in federal court and has become a rallying point for Republicans in this year’s election.
