Protecting your identity

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in South Carolina.

That is why experts advise you to take steps to protect your identity.  One of the biggest ways you can do that is to shred and completely destroy any sensitive documents you may have and no longer need.  This would include bank statements, credit card statements, and old insurance statements that contain personal information.
