Son one of 3 charged with killing Ga. couple in SC
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — The son of a Georgia couple found shot to death at a boat ramp in South Carolina is one of three people charged in the case.
Anderson County sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday that 17-year-old Landon Thomas Sanders of Elberton, is charged with two counts of murder.
Thirty-six-year-old Jason Sanders and his wife, 23-year-old Candice Sanders, were found by a fisherman around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at a boat ramp near Lake Russell.
Twenty-four-year-old Danny Wade Scott and 19-year-old Thomas Riley Madden, both of Elberton, are charged with accessory to murder.
Madden is in the Anderson County jail. Sanders and Scott were being held in Elberton and South Carolina officials planned to seek extradition.
Autopsies were scheduled Wednesday.
It was unclear if the men have lawyers.
