Bowers On Pro Day:Knee Is 100%

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Defensive end Da’Quan Bowers says he felt
100 percent working out at Clemson on his surgically repaired knee
that has raised questions about his draft status.
Bowers led the country with 15 1/2 sacks and was considered a
top-five selection in the NFL draft. However, he had arthroscopic
surgery on his right knee in January and did not work out at last
month’s scouting combine as he recovered.
Bowers says he ran his 40-yard dash in “the low 4.8s,” which
was slower than he had hoped. Otherwise, Bowers says the knee held
up during Clemson’s pro day on Friday.
There were at least 20 NFL teams represented at the two-hour
session. Those attending included Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt,
Buffalo general manager Buddy Nix and Atlanta GM Thomas Dimitroff.
