Noble enters race for SC Dem. Party chairman
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Charleston businessman Phil Noble is running for chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party.
Noble said Thursday he has spent five months gauging what Democrats around the state want in the party’s next chairman. He says Democrats are tired of losing and don’t want the same people from Columbia running the party.
Noble runs PoliticsOnline.com and a public affairs consulting firm. He’s also a founder of the community service group Palmetto Project.
Democrats will elect a new chairman at their April 30th convention.
Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Fowler is not seeking a third term. Former Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian and Marion County Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jenkins are also running.
