Rep. Michele Bachmann Tours South Carolina

BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) — Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann told a packed tea party gathering that President Obama made a foolish decision to start a new war in Libya and that he’s no longer on the side of American people.

Bachmann’s remarks at a Bluffton tea part meeting came as she mulls a presidential bid and is courting support on a four-day swing through early GOP primary South Carolina.

Bachmann said the U.S. began fighting in Libya without a clear mission then courted oil exports from Brazil. She said that’s a  sign Obama is not “on our side anymore.”

Bachmann wasn’t alone in courting South Carolina voters. Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour won a Charleston County GOP straw poll and stopped at Republican conventions in Columbia and Lexington on a two-day swing through the state.
