Jake Williams Reinstated

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina designated hitter Jake Williams has been reinstated to the Gamecocks and will travel with the team to Mississippi State this weekend.

Williams was suspended earlier this month for violating team rules and missed the last five games.

Williams had played in 29 games this season, starting 25. He has hit .286 (26-for-91) with two homers and 18 RBIs.
