No rest for The Citadel who travel to App State

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The Citadel knocked off the heavy favorite to win the Southern Conference last week, but coach Kevin Higgins said it is not time to start calling his Bulldogs a contender.
Higgins says he is trying to build a program, not necessarily win the SoCon title this year.
But a win over Appalachian State on Saturday would give The Citadel victories over two of the three favorites to win the league this season. The Bulldogs beat Georgia Southern 23-21 last week.
In other games Saturday involving South Carolina’s Football Championship Subdivision teams, Wofford hosts Western Carolina; Coastal Carolina hosts Eastern Kentucky; South Carolina State travels to Arizona; Presbyterian is at Vanderbilt; Charleston Southern goes to Illinois; and Furman travels to Clemson.
