USC’s Celek To Forgo Senior Year, Turn Pro

COLUMBIA (WOLO) — Brison Celek has decided to forgo his senior season with the Gamecock baseball team and turn pro. The designated hitter was a 31st-round pick by Toronto in the 2013 MLB Draft. He played in 30 games this season, with 24 starts, and hit .307. Celek will travel to the Blue Jays‘ facility in Dunedin, Fla. on Sunday, where he will sign his contract.
