Clowney Calls Out “Scared” Quarterbacks

(WOLO) — Gamecock Heisman hopeful Jadeveon Clowney fielded hundreds of questions on day one of SEC Media Days in Hoover, AL. His comments toward the end of the interview session made the most impact. Clowney called out three quarterbacks by name who he said are scared of him: Clemson’s Tajh Boyd, Georgia’s Aaron Murray and former Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson. “(Boyd) is scared every time we play them,” Clowney told print reporters Tuesday. “I know he is probably listening to this right now, but I’m just telling the truth.” Boyd and Murray are both winless in three games against the Gamecocks. Clowney, a junior defensive end from Rock Hill, set USC school season records last season for sacks and tackles for loss. He set a Death Valley record with 4.5 sacks in the regular season finale at Clemson and finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
