Charleston to hold all-star college football game

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The Citadel’s Johnson-Hagood Stadium will host a college all-star game organizers have called the Medal of Honor Bowl. The game will be played on Jan. 11, 2014, and feature senior college football players who hope to get a shot at playing professional football. Organizers announced the game Wednesday. Funds from the game will go to help the Medal of Honor Museum and Wounded Warriors Project among other organizations. This will be the second college all-star game to spring up in South Carolina in the past two years. Furman is hosting the second South Carolina College All-Star Bowl. That game takes place March 1.
