Georgia looks to avoid letdown against North Texas

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) âone space€one space” Ninth-ranked Georgia has already played a couple of top 10 opponents, and another will visit Athens next week. If there was ever a chance for a letdown, this would be it. Unheralded North Texas (2-1) is at Sanford Stadium on Saturday, facing a Georgia team that lost to No. 3 Clemson, beat then-No. 6 South Carolina and faces another crucial game against sixth-ranked LSU before the month is out. The Georgia assistants have been pointing to Michigan’s narrow victory over lowly Akron last weekend as evidence that no game is a lock. Head coach Mark Richt says his staff is doing a good job of pushing the team to keep getting better. He also says there’s a lot of competition for playing time, which helps keep everyone on their toes.
