Eau Claire (WOLO) — Columbia voters head back to the polls to vote on forms of government December third.
One newly formed community group wants to make sure voters ‘have all the facts’ when it comes to deciding on a strong mayor form of government.
Dozens gathered in the Eau Claire community this afternoon to say they oppose the strong mayor form of government. Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin claims it’s the best form of government to keep the Capitol city moving forward. However, the group, Communities United for a Great Columbia, is not convinced.
They say no one person should have all the power.
