No. 8 Gamecocks, No. 19 Badgers matchup in Cap One

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — For South Carolina and Wisconsin, it would be understandable if the Capital One Bowl had somewhat of a Redemption Bowl feel to it.
Both the No. 8 Gamecocks (10-2) and No. 19 Badgers (9-3) enter the New Year’s Day matchup having had shots at reaching a BCS bowl before being untimely losses.
Still, there’s no lack of motivation for either squad.
Wisconsin is playing in its first bowl under new coach Gary Andersen and is trying to end a three-game bowl losing streak.
South Carolina has won its last two bowl appearances, including a victory in the 2012 Capital One.
The game also could be the last for Gamecocks junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who is expected to a high selection in this spring’s NFL draft.
