USC falls to Tennessee

(WOLO) — South Carolina (8-15, 1-9 SEC) dropped its 13th straight game to the Volunteers Saturday in Knoxville.

The Volunteers beat the Gamecocks 72-53, keeping USC winless in Thompson-Boling Arena since 2002.

The Volunteers (15-8, 6-4 SEC) led by 23 at the half.

South Carolina had one bright spot during the game when they went on a 10-0 run in the second half.

Freshman Sindarious Thornwell lead the Gamecocks with 15 points.
