USC Up To #5 In Baseball America Rankings

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks rose to number five in the Baseball America rankings after sweeping the Bucknell Bison 17-4, 12-2, and 12-0 in the three game opening series this past weekend. The Gamecocks started the season ranked number seven in Baseball America’s preseason rankings. South Carolina scored 41 runs on 39 hits in the weekend series against the Bison. Virginia and Oregon State stayed atop the Baseball America rankings at number one and two respectively. Cal State Fullerton moved into the top five at number three, up from number six. Florida State moved up to number four in the nation, with the Gamecocks rounding out the top five. Team
