East Carolina adds Western Carolina to 2016 schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — East Carolina has added a game against Western Carolina to complete its 2016 nonconference schedule.

The school said Tuesday that the Pirates will host the Catamounts on Sept. 3, 2016 in Greenville. The game renews an instate series that dates to 1936, though the teams haven’t met since 1981.

East Carolina already has a home game against North Carolina State along with road games against South Carolina and Virginia Tech that season.
