NEWBERRY – Newberry College athletic director Matt Finley and head football coach Todd Knight have announced the addition of Jacksonville University to the Wolves’ playing schedule for 2015, completing an 11-game slate for the scarlet and gray. The Wolves will host the Dolphins for the first time in program history on Saturday, September 12. This give Newberry six home games for the 2015 season. After hosting Jacksonville on September 12, Newberry hosts North Greenville on September 19. The South Atlantic Conference schedule begins on September 26, as Newberry will welcome the Tusculum Pioneers for the annual Family Weekend game. Newberry’s first road conference game is on October 3. The annual Homecoming contest will take place on October 10 when the Wolves host Mars Hill University. That game will be followed by a trip to Carson-Newman on October 17. Brevard comes calling on October 24 and the Wolves head to Hickory, N.C., on October 31 to play Lenoir-Rhyne in the annual battle for the Bishops Trophy. The final home game will be a non-conference game against Limestone on November 7, with the regular season coming to a close at Wingate on November 14.
