Watson throws for 2 TDs, No. 12 Clemson routs Wofford 49-10

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Deshaun Watson threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns, and Clemson moved to 30-0 against FCS opponents with a 49-10 victory over Wofford on Saturday.
The Tigers (1-0) opened with a win for the seventh straight season, although all-Atlantic Coast Conference receiver Mike Williams left in the first quarter with a scary neck injury on a 4-yard touchdown catch. Williams struck the goal post support and was taken to a hospital, where the school said he was standing up and had full use of all extremities.
Clemson struggled with Wofford (0-1) when the teams last met four years ago, a 35-27 victory for the Tigers. This time, they powered past the Terriers for a 35-0 lead with five minutes left before halftime.
