Spurrier: Mitch Out 4-6 Weeks

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Steve Spurrier said in his weekly teleconference Sunday that Quarterback Connor Mitch would likely miss 4-6 weeks due to a dislocated shoulder. The injury happened Saturday night against the Kentucky Wildcats. Spurrier added that Mitch is currently in the hospital for the injury suffered Saturday night and is also being treated for an infection in his hip. “He‘ll probably spend a couple days (in the hospital) getting some IV to get rid of sort of an infection in his hip area,” Spurrier said Sunday. Backup quarterback Perry Orth will start Saturday when Carolina heads to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs.
