Gamecock great Marcus Lattimore will be part of Will Muschamp’s new staff.

Wednesday night Lattimore tweeted out, “It’s about to get real in Columbia. Let’s work!!! #SpursUp @CoachWMuschamp”.

Soon after that Bobby Bentley, USC’s running backs coach and Lattimore’s former coach at Byrnes High School tweeted, “Excited to be joining my man @MarcusLattimore again #SpursUp”.

Lattimore is expected to graduate from USC in May.  He is not expected to be an official USC football assistant coach, but, according to The State Newspaper, will join the support staff.

Lattimore set a USC school record scoring 38 touchdowns.  Steve Spurrier refers to him as the most popular Gamecock ever.
