SC Reporter Killed in NC Multi-Car Crash

WAXHAW, N.C. (WSOC) — State troopers are investigating after they said a woman died in a crash after driving through a stop sign in Waxhaw Wednesday night.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 200 and Potter Road.

Troopers told Channel 9 that the driver, 22-year-old Jordan Schuman, was heading north on Potter Road and drove through a stop sign.

Two other vehicles crashed into Schuman’s car, according to troopers.

Schuman was a reporter with local ABC news affiliate WPDE in Myrtle Beach, officials with the station confirmed.

Troopers have not said if weather played a factor in the wreck.
