States of Emergency Declared in Five States

 WASHINGTON (AP)– States of emergency already have been declared in five states and the District of Columbia ahead of what forecasters are calling a historic blizzard. Washington is expected to bear the brunt of the storm, with more than two feet predicted to fall between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. Thousands of flights already have been canceled.
