Police: Inmate Walked Off Work Detail Caught

BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (WOLO) — Authorities have apprehended an inmate who escaped from the Wateree River Correctional facility during a work detail Thursday afternoon. 

Officials with the South Carolina Department of Corrections say 32-year-old Tommy Lee Henderson, was serving a five-year sentence out of Greenville County.

He will be charged with escape and could face up to 10 years in prison.
