BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WOLO) — A former Blythewood High School student-athlete paid it forward Friday by giving back to his Alma Mater.

Bethel graduated from BHS in 2008 and played for four seasons at Presbyterian College in Clinton.
He was then drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft and has been tapped for the NFL Pro-Bowl for three consecutive seasons; he was recently awarded a three-year contract extension, according to a press release.
School officials say, Bethel’s substantial gift will be used for various projects with specific designations for athletics and culinary arts, as Bethel was also a member of that program at BHS.
