(ABC News) – The Golden State Warriors capped off the season Wednesday night with 73 wins, beating the previous record set by the Chicago Bulls’ 1995-1996 season of 72 wins.
The Warriors ended their historic run with a 125-104 home win against the Memphis Grizzlies at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. Warriors star Steph Curry scored 46 points in the game.
Following the Warriors’ win, Twittersphere lit up, with messages from President Obama and other public figures.
Congrats to the @Warriors, a great group of guys on and off the court. If somebody had to break the Bulls' record, I'm glad it's them.
