16 Injured in Fiery Bus Explosion in Jerusalem; Cause Under Investigation

(ABC News) – Israeli police are investigating a fiery explosion on a bus in Jerusalem that left 16 people injured.

There was an explosion in the lower back side of the bus where the engine is situated, an eyewitness told ABC News. The explosion also set fire to a second bus that had no passengers on board.

No fatalities were reported but 16 people were injured, including two who are in serious condition, according to the Magen David Adom rescue service.

Forensics and bomb disposal experts are examining the scene to determine the cause, Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.
