MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) _ The pyramid housing the Hard Rock Cafe which has been a landmark in Myrtle Beach for two decades will be demolished under new plans for the site.

The Sun News reports that an architectural firm has submitted plans to the city to remove the pyramid at Broadway at the Beach. The pyramid, part of the cityscape since 1995, would be demolished to make way for a new building to house a Dave & Buster’s restaurant.

Hard Rock Cafe is moving to a new location in the Broadway at the Beach complex although the new building will not be in the shape of a pyramid.

City regulators will review plans for the Dave & Buster’s this week.
