COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Governor Nikki Haley is making national news.

This time, the Palmetto State’s first female Governor has been recognized as one of Time Magazine’s ‘Most Influential People’.

An article in the most recent edition of the magazine features an article written by South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

Graham cites Haley’s response to several events that thrust the state into the national spotlight last year.

In the write-up, Graham praises Haley for her action in the Walter Scott shooting, the Charleston massacre that claimed the lives of nine black parishioners at Emanuel A.M.E. Church, the removal of the Confederate Flag and the historic flooding that ravished parts of the state.

Others making the list are: Caitlyn Jenner, Gina Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Stephen Curry, Taraji P. Henson, Charlize Theron, Kim Jong Un, Bernie Sanders, Nicki Minaj, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
