Columbia,S.C. (WOLO) — Pawmetto Lifeline is holding a “kitten shower” Saturday June 4th to help cut down on the overwhelming amount of cats and kittens that they have in their shelter right now. Pawmetto Lifeline is a “No Kill” Shelter, but right now they’re unable to take in anymore cats as they have reached their max. This means the cats that are not adopted may end up being euthanized.

To put the number of cats and kittens they have in house, 2 hundred cats are hoping to find forever homes, 1 hundred of them are kittens.

Spokesperson for Pawmetto Lifeline, Elizabeth Childers says there are plenty of ways you can help even if you are not ready to take on the responsibility of an furry friend full-time. In addition to adopting, you can foster a cat or take advantage of the deals available to have your cats spayed and neutered to help cut down on the pet population.
