Upscale Movie Experience Coming to Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Looking for an upscale movie experience? Look no further, as Cobb Luxury 10 is poised to open at The Commons at Bullstreet.

Movie goers will have to wait until Summer 2018 to experience enjoy the state-of-the-art 10-screen theater, but Frank Stryjewski, chief operations officer of Cobb Theatres said in a statement, “We are dedicated to offering our guests the finest movie-going experience available by offering the best movies, amenities and service to every guest.”

The theater will feature all reserved, oversized and overstuffed electric reclining seats, a full service restaurant and bar offering creative American Bistro cuisine, with hand-crafted pizzas and an attractive selection of beer and wine to those who may or may not be there to enjoy a movie.

The theater complex will also feature a self-serve, walk through concession area offering all your favorite drinks, snacks and candies, including soft serve yogurt with an assortment of toppings to choose from.

The theater will look to redefine the movie going experience by offering a refined and expanded “day or night at the movies” focused on quality, comfort and convenience.

Company officials say will join a growing array of tenants who will be opening in the exciting downtown Columbia project.
“As master developer, we are very pleased with the progress made on BullStreet to date. Two buildings have been renovated (The Bakery and Parker Annex), another one is starting (Ensor), and we have built a first-class office building (First Base Building). Our partner developers are in the process of renovating the Babcock Building into apartments, awaiting County Council approval on student housing, working on approvals for townhomes, and in the pre-development stage for other major projects. We are the first urban gigabit neighborhood in South Carolina, and all of this has happened while Spirit Communications Park has shattered attendance records for professional sports in Columbia “Today’s announcement exemplifies the success our retail development partner is having and we are energized by their progress. BullStreet as a whole is still a 20-year project, but we are ahead of schedule and are excited for what lies ahead.”
