Man Identified, Police Say Death Investigation Continues

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities are still investigating the death of a man found in the 1600 block of Double Branch Road in West Columbia early Thursday morning.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the man as 30-year-old Michael Andy McMillian of Columbia.

Authorities say they received a call of a suspicious vehicle just after 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

The scene was cleared this afternoon, police say.

No further details were provided.

The cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy scheduled to be performed on Friday.
