Richland Co. Deputy Arrested on Charges of Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A Richland County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested on charges of unlawful conduct towards a child.
Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department were called to the Lexington Medical Center on Monday with concerns about Richland County deputy Brandon Robins’ step-son.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the eight-year-old victim had an appointment with his doctor on August 22 and the doctor observed bruises on the lower body of the child and alerted law enforcement.
Lott said Robins, 45, has been placed on suspension without pay pending an internal review.
Sheriff Jay Koon stated that Robins has been transported to the Lexington County Jail.
