Wanted Midlands Teacher Accused of Sexually Assaulting Student Multiple Times

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A 40-year-old Red Bank Elementary School teacher is wanted by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, accused of sexual battery of a student while on duty at school.

Hianlucas Isturiz Rodriguez will be charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, based on warrants.

Officials with Lexington District One released a statement, saying Roderiquez is a 5k immersion teacher with the district.

The release went on to say, that “administrators acted in accordance with Board Policy and district procedure and immediately placed the teacher on leave pending an inquiry into the situation. This is standard operating procedure.”
