US House releases articles of impeachment; Senate could take up trials after holiday break

(ABC NEWS) – Democratic leaders in the US House unveiled formal charges against President Donald Trump, taking a critical step in the impeachment process.

This all stems from the allegations that the President abused the power of his office in an attempt to have a political rival investigated by a foreign power.
